Decadance Co, founded in 2019, is a socially conscious contemporary dance company based in Singapore. With the vision to be intergenerational and all-inclusive in all aspects of their work, they are always looking to develop multi-disciplinary works, programmes and experiences that challenges both artists and audiences of the wider community. They have been staging performances in Singapore since 2019, and their work has brought them to tour in Belgium, Edinburgh, Germany, Istanbul, Jordan, and Taiwan.
“This exhibition presents photographs from the margins of artistic restlessness. For years, wherever our work brought us, another practice quietly unfolded alongside it. Photographs conceived through the same instinct that drives our choreography: a search for places, light and landscapes that invite the body into unfamiliar conversations. This exhibition brings together those images for the first time. Presented as a limited series of museum-quality prints, each photograph forms part of an ongoing visual language that has shaped Decadance Co over the years.” – Decadance Co
